WHAT AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE!

For those of you who were not fortunate enough to attend or participate in "Just For The Love of It!" you missed a stunning performance. This event was very different from the usual Messiah performances produced by The Sarasota Choral Society. All of the guest performers wowed the audience with Bryce Westervelt, tenor and Kyoung Cho, soprano causing jaws to drop in awe. Genevieve Beauchamp, Dr. Jonathan Spivey, and Robert Hall were also outstanding, accompanied by Andrew Reese on trumpet, Jaime Marshall on trombone, Jerome Butler on bass, David Martinez on snare drum, and Carolyn Weber on tympani. Click on the photo above to see information on the performance. To see and/or purchase photos of this event, follow the instructions below:

Log onto www.jessicaadkinsphotography.com.                              Click on “View Proofs” on the top right of the screen.                   Click on “Portrait Prints”, which will open a new screen.                 Your event name is “Julia Rohr Tribute” and date is May 2008.        The password is “julia” in all lowercase letters.

We are taking orders for DVD's of this once in a lifetime performance with donations of $15 or more. Click here for ordering information.

Something Special in the Works!

We are asking for anyone who has any articles, pictures, video, anecdotes, stories, etc. about Dr. Rohr to let us know. If you or someone you know was (or still is) one of her students, sung in one of the organizations she was affiliated with, or have had some other contact with her, please contact us at president@sarasotachoralsociety.org.

We will continue to post updates and further information as it becomes available.

The links below will provide Microsoft Word and other files which you may print out and use at home. If you do not have Word, go to www.microsoft.com/downloads and download the free Word Viewer.
