Jennifer L. Regal, soprano,
received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Studies
from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She
is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Choral
Conducting and Vocal Performance at the University of
South Florida. As a singer, she currently performs with
The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and as a recitalist in
the Tampa Bay area. Jen will be performing the role of
The Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors with
the USF Opera Program this December. She is sought after
as a vocal coach in the Tampa Bay area for individuals
as well as choirs. In 2002, she was a singer for the
Florida tour with Sarah Brightman. Jen is currently the
Interim Artistic Director for the Tampa Bay Children’s
Chorus, having recently performed with The Florida
Orchestra’s opening concerts of Carmina Burana.
She has taught for 7 years at the elementary, middle,
and high school levels. Her choirs have performed the
National Anthem for the Detroit Tigers spring training
games as well as in concert with Josh Groban. Jen is
also the Director of Music and Children/Family
Ministries at First United Methodist Church in Dade
City, FL. She was 1 of 8 national semi-finalists in the
1999 and 2001 ACDA Student Conducting Competitions. In
the summer of 2009 and 2010, she received singing and
conducting apprenticeships with the Berkshire Choral
Festival in Montreal, QC and Sheffield, MA,
respectively. Most recently Jen was selected as a
professional singer for the 20th Anniversary
Professional Choral Workshop at Carnegie Hall in
February, 2011. |
