BIO - MICHELLE GIGLIO, SOPRANO
Michelle returns to her native United States following five years of concerts, tours and recordings in France and throughout Europe. Local performances in Florida include Carmina Burana with the Florida West Coast Symphony and Sarasota Ballet; Mozart’s Exultate Jubilate with the Florida West Coast Symphony; Bach’s cantata Number 84 and “Der hölle rache” from Mozart’s Magic Flute with the Anna Maria Island Chorus and Orchestra. She has performed with both the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de France, in addition to frequently being heard live on France Musique (French national classical music station).

In France Michelle recorded Iphigénie en Taurride by Gluck with Les Musiciens du Louvre/ Orchestre Chambre de Grenoble on the Deutsche Grammophon label, Marc Minkowski, Conductor. She also toured Europe with the opera, performing at the Opéra National de Lyon, La Rampe (Echiroles), Auditorio Nacional de Madrid and the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. Other recordings include the Chichester Psalms on the Erato label with the Orchestre Philharmonique de France. Ms. Giglio will be performing with the Florida Orchestra in March 2005.
